Vanessa started in 2001 at the Rotterdam Zuid Huisartsenpost as a desk clerk and later moved on to Elderly Care. There she first worked with elderly people with dementia and later with elderly people with physical disabilities.
Between 2016 and 2018 she was retrained as a doctor’s assistant. Since May 2017, she has worked at various GP practices. From February 2020 she will be part of the B12 Institute team in Rotterdam.
‘I have noticed that there is still a lot of uncertainty among specialists, general practitioners, doctor’s assistants and practice nurses about the vitamin B12 deficiency and its treatment. Also about the effects this can have on patients. I would like to use my knowledge and expertise to put this on the map together with the B12 team and to ensure that patients receive the right care.’
